Sewers
The Office of the City Engineer is responsible for the planning, design, and maintenance of the City's sewer and drainage systems.
The Engineering Department administers:
- Design & Contract Administration of Local & Trunk Sewer Construction
- Reconstruction of Existing Sewers and Drains
- Resident-initiated construction under Ontario Regulation 586/06
- Analysis of Sewer System and Study of Basement Flooding
- Private Sewer Replacement Program
- Issuance of Sewer Connection Permits for work in the right-of-way
- Basement Flooding Protection Subsidy Program (BFP)
- Private Culvert Rehabilitation Program
The Operations Department administers:
The City of Windsor, in conjunction with Service Line Warranties of Canada, also known as SLWC, offers an optional Service Line Warranty program to homeowners.
