The City of Windsor has a creative and vibrant community that encourages artistic expression and the celebration of cultural identity and diversity. The Culture Team works with the community to coordinate and facilitate exciting opportunities for both residents and visitors. Through the continuous acquisition of public art and the rich inheritance of cultural resources, stories, traditions, historical sites, documents, and natural heritage, we help residents connect with their identity and share the story of Windsor with the world.

We partner with all levels of government, the not-for-profit sector, business, and the public to make sure culture and the tourism industry benefit each other. Culture is essential to the development of our city.

Municipal Cultural Master Plan

The City of Windsor's Municipal Cultural Master Plan (MCMP) is all about making our city a more vibrant and creative place to live, work, and visit. It focuses on improving arts and cultural spaces, supporting local artists, and making sure everyone has access to great cultural experiences. The plan also looks to boost our local economy through cultural tourism and public art while celebrating both our rich heritage and exciting contemporary culture. Overall, it's about building a city that's welcoming, inclusive, and full of opportunities for everyone to connect and enjoy the arts.
