Community Services Standing Committee

Who We Are

The Community Services Standing Committee (2022-2026) is comprised of the following 5 members of City Council, with the Mayor as ex-officio:

• Councillor Ed Sleiman (Chairperson)
• Councillor Jo-Anne Gignac

What We Do

The Community Services Standing Committee typically meets on the first Wednesday of each month. The Administrative Advisor is the Commissioner of Human and Health Services. The mandate of this Standing Committee shall be to study and report to Council on all matters relating to the following:

• Community Services (recreation/parks)
• Housing and Homelessness
• Cultural Matters
• Poverty Roundtable
• Employment Services
• Long Term Care Services
• Children Services

• Community Public Art Working Group
• Diversity Committee
• Age Friendly Windsor Working Group
• Windsor Accessibility Advisory Committee
• Huron Lodge Committee of Management

• Windsor-Essex Community Housing Corporation
