The City of Windsor's Department of Recreation & Culture offers Before and After School Programs for Kindergarten to Grade 8 throughout the school year from September to June.

Each of our before and after school programs is under the direction of program coordinators. These individuals have a passion for developing and implementing recreation programs for children and youth. In addition, each program staff is certified in Standard First Aid with CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) Level C; receives EpiPen training; and obtains specialized training in recreation, programming, safety and emergency procedures, group dynamics and positive behaviour management. Our leaders are energetic and dedicated to providing participants with a fun, safe and memorable experience.

Before and After School Program Adventure Bay Day

Saturday, November, 30, 2024, 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Adventure Bay Family Waterpark Presented by WFCU Credit Union

Before and After School Program participants as well as friends and family are invited to participate in this free event on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Pre-registration is required at the front desk of your before/after school program location, or through the Centralized Registration and Booking Centre by phone at (519) 255-1161. Limited spots available at all locations.

Limited free spots are available for those with approved eligibility through the Recreation Access Program at AKH, CPRC, FGCC GLM and WWW. Submit your most current child tax benefit form to P2Pprogram@citywindsor.ca to determine if you are eligible for a free spot.

Important Information

Bussing

The City of Windsor cannot coordinate bussing to and from the Before and After School Program. Please contact your school's office to inquire about bussing.

Registration Cut-Off

Registration must be completed the Thursday prior to the next week of programming. Last-minute registrations can be approved by the site supervisor and site coordinator.

Absences

 Please notify the community centre by 7:00 a.m. if your child or children will be absent from the Before School Program. Please notify the community centre by 2:00 p.m. if your child or children will be absent from the After School Program. 

Communication

 Does your child attend the Before and/or After School Program? Want regular updates and newsletters? Call your local community centre or the Centralized Registration and Booking Centre (519-255-1161) to make sure your email is updated.
