The City of Windsor is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the new City Hall Square Ice Rink, a vibrant addition to the heart of downtown and a festive destination for residents and visitors this winter season.
Programming
New Year's Eve
- Also, join us for a special New Year's Eve celebration on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.! Celebrate the arrival of 2026 in the downtown core with live entertainment, activities, delicious offerings from local vendors, and more!
Rink Hours
- 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. (weather permitting)
Note: The City Hall Square Ice Rink is flooded and smoothed on a regular basis during operating hours. The schedule will be adjusted daily to accommodate weather, staffing, and use. The condition of the ice may be inconsistent. Unscheduled closures may occur without advance notice based on weather and ice conditions. A reduced ice-flooding schedule will be in effect from December 24 to 26, 2025, and on January 1, 2026.
Rink Rules
- Unsupervised facility: Skating is at your own risk.
- No hockey playing, sticks, or pucks of any kind.
- No figure skating, speed skating or racing.
- No food or drinks on the ice surface.
- No headsets or electronic devices on the ice.
- Clear the ice while the Zamboni is operating.
- No rollerblades, boards, bicycles or scooters on the ice.
- Helmets are strongly recommended for all skaters.
- Ice Skates must be worn on the ice.
- Children must be supervised by an adult.
- Skaters must travel in the same direction as others on the rink.
- No profanity, horseplay, or loitering.
