Street Name/Rename Submission

An Application Form for the Creation of Street Names or an Application Form for the Renaming of Existing Street Names is required to be submitted to the Planning Department for review and approval for all public and private streets in the city of Windsor.

Proposed street names are reviewed to avoid duplication, sound-a-likes and difficult pronunciation or spelling, both within the city and in adjacent municipalities as well.

The City encourages the use of themes and historical significance in street names for new developments and promotes the preservation of street name heritage for existing communities and streets.
