Each year, between April and July, thousands of volunteers undertake projects to ensure that all users can safely access the benefits of outdoor recreation on the Trans Canada Trail. This year, the City of Windsor is excited to announce that we are hosting Trail Care Day 2024 on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

Drop by our waterfront trail in Dieppe Gardens Park for a fun-filled day of activities and trail cleanup and to learn more about the Trans Canada Trail and the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail. We'll have information booths; prizes and giveaways; free activities, including yoga and Art Cart tours; refreshments; and friendly faces to answer all your questions. Remember to bring a water bottle. There will be a refill station on-site.

Volunteers will collect garbage along the trail and surrounding parks. We will supply all the tools and safety equipment you need for the Trail Care activity and will sort collected items into garbage and recycling and dispose of it properly. Please email lash@citywindsor.ca to express your interest in volunteering.

Trail Care Day is a multi-location event happening in 10 communities across Canada on June 1. For more information about the trail or other event locations, visit Trail Care Day 2024.
