Peche Island Tours

The Peche Island Self‑Guided Tour season begins on Saturday, June 20, 2026, and runs through the last weekend of September. The Discover Peche Island Guided Tours will begin shortly after, on July 4, 2026.

Cost: $13.00 per person
- Includes boat transportation from Lakeview Park Marina (9200 Riverside Drive East) to Peche Island for independent exploration

- Final return trip to the marina at 2:00 p.m.
September 4 to September 12, 2026
- Self-guided tours offered on Fridays and Saturdays

Discover Peche Island Guided Tours
Cost: $35.00 per person
This guided tour begins with a scenic boat ride around the island, offering views of its natural beauty from the water. After the cruise, guests will disembark for a one-hour guided walk along a 2-kilometre (1.24-mile) rustic trail, exploring the island’s natural environment on foot.
The tour departs from Lakeview Park Marina and is led by Ojibway Nature Centre staff, who provide interpretive content throughout both the boat ride and the walking portion, enriching your experience with insights into the area’s natural and cultural features.

Registration Information
- Registration closes at 4:30 p.m. on the day before each tour.
- Walk-ups are generally not permitted, but limited accommodations may be made by marina staff if space allows.

- If space is available, tickets may also be booked in person at the Lakeview Park Marina office during office hours.

Peche Island Restrictions
No swimming and no access to the beach due to strong currents and deep water.- No bikes or pets.
- No alcohol, fishing or fires.
- Do not feed the animals.
- Do not wander off the trails (poison ivy grows on the island).
Peche Island is owned and operated by the City of Windsor. In the event of an emergency, City of Windsor staff are trained in Basic First Aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED), Emergency services, including police and ambulance services, will not be going to Peche Island, even in the event of an emergency.
