Coventry Gardens
4714 Riverside Drive East between Thompson Boulevard and Pillette Road
A showplace and tourist attraction on the banks of the Detroit River, Coventry Garden was designed for relaxation and recreation and as a place of civic pride.
Each year, thousands of visitors enjoy the brilliant flowers displayed at Coventry Garden, and the patios serve as unique staging areas for concerts and other events during the summer.
The Charlie Brooks Memorial Peace Fountain is the only international floating fountain in the world. It can propel water 70 feet into the air and displays a light show at night. It is typically put in place for the May holiday weekend and operates from approximately 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.. The fountain is typically removed the week following Canadian Thanksgiving.
