Supportive Housing

The Residential Services Homes program provides permanent housing, food services and supervised care for low income individuals who require some assistance with activities of daily living. There are 21 Homes in Windsor and Essex County, with approximately 500 beds that are subsidized through government funding.

Individuals who may be eligible to receive subsidized care in the Housing with Supports Homes must apply at the home of their choice and meet the following criteria:

• Documented medical need for this type of supervised living (i.e. does not require long-term care placement)
• Meets the low-income and asset limit eligibility criteria
• Has been accepted for placement at the home
