Other Charges Added to the Property Tax Account
Non-property tax charges can be added to property tax accounts for collection purposes at the direction of City operating departments, ENWIN Utilities and the Provincial Offences (POA) Office. Once added to the property tax account, the charges become secured and collected in the same manner as property taxes.
These bills are sent to the property owner, who is responsible for payment within 21 days. For accounts on a pre-authorized payment (PAP) plan, the added charges must be paid separately. If not paid by the due date, the unpaid amount will be added to the next billing period along with applicable late payment charges.
