Apply for a Permit

Before starting the online application process, applicants will be required to register as a user in the system. (This process is free.) Applicants will also need to prepare the following documents in portable document formant (PDF) to be uploaded into the application system:

  1. Building plans (floor plans, elevations and/or cross-sections)
  2. Property survey or site plan 

To apply for a Mobile Sign Permit or Liquor Licence Letter:

  • To make an online payment:
    • Through email, applicants will receive a "Request to Submit Payment" email that includes instructions on how to proceed with the online payment.

For Re-Submissions on permit applications applied for before July 26, 2021:

  • Permits issued outside of the new Cloudpermit system that were applied for before July 26, 2021, will need to use the previous application Form D for Re-Submissions.

  • To make an online payment:
    • Through email, applicants will receive a "Request to Submit Payment" email that includes instructions on how to proceed with the online payment.

All other building permit types can be submitted online through Cloudpermit:

  • Click here for Related Forms that may apply to an application. The content found in these forms may be required during your application process in Cloudpermit.
  • Cloudpermit currently supports Firefox, Google, and Safari browsers.
  • To make an online payment:
    • Applicants must be registered as a user in the Cloudpermit system
    • Applicants will receive a "Request to Submit Payment" in the Cloudpermit system and instructions on how to proceed with the online payment.
