Applicant Requirements
Please note: New Residential Rental Licensing (RRL) applications are no longer being accepted, but existing applications will continue to be processed. For more information about the licensing process, please visit www.CityWindsor.ca/RRL.
For all new and renewal applications:
- Residential Rental Licence Application Form
- Two (2) pieces of government-issued identification (I.D.), including one photo I.D. as well as one I.D. demonstrating proof of status in Canada (for example, birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian citizenship card, permanent resident card, work permit, etc.)
- Business Ownership Declaration Form, if applicable
- Corporate Profile Report, if applicable
- Partnership Agreement, if applicable
- Proof of Insurance
- Proof of property ownership
- Criminal record check
- Property Standards and Safety Checklist
- Electrical System Safety Assessment (only required new applications and every 5 years on renewal)
