Make Family Day A Screen Free Day!
Healthy Kids Community Challenge encouraged you to Power OFF and Play on February 19, 2018.
During Theme 4, Healthy Kids Community Challenge Windsor- Essex is focused on minimizing children's recreational and sedentary screen time, as part of a balanced day by following these three recommendations:
1. Staying within recommended screen time limits:
|Under 2 years
||Less than 1 hour a day|
||No More than 2 hours of recreational screen time|
2. Putting screens away during important times of day (sleep, meal, and snack time)
3. Replacing some screen time with other activities (physical activity, social interaction and fun and educational activities)

Screen Free on Family Day with Windsor Essex Communities In Motion (WECIM) held the following Activities:
*Windsor residents who get the Canada Child Benefit (CCB) and who have eligible incomes may qualify for a discount of 80% off admission to Adventure Bay through Windsor's Pathway to Potential program.
Free skating at Kingsville Arena
Family Game Night and free pasta dinner at Kingsville Arena, sponsored by Healthy Kids Community Challenge
