Submit the Application
The permit application requires information about the construction project. You will be asked to document who will perform the work, what work will be done, where the work will be done, when the work will be done, and how the work will be done. Scaled drawings, plans or other documentation of the proposed work will have to be submitted for review.
Note: Incomplete applications or plans will not be accepted. If building plans are prepared by an architect or professional engineer, three copies are required.
Before starting the online application, prepare the following documents in portable document format (PDF) to be uploaded into the application form.
- Building plans (floor plans, elevations and/or cross-sections),
- Property survey or site plan.

Your completed application form should be brought to the Building Division (City Hall, 4th floor) accompanied by the following:
- Three sets of folded building plans (floor plans, elevations and/or cross-sections), folded into an 8 ½" x 14" file folder. If drawings are too bulky for folding, rolled drawings are accepted.
