The City of Windsor's Department of Recreation & Culture routinely offers daily camp on P.A. days, week-long holidays, March Break and summer. Each of our camps are under the direction of a Day Camp Coordinator. These individuals have a passion for developing and implementing recreation programs for children and youth. In addition, each Day Camp Counselor is certified in Standard First Aid with CPR Level C and receives Epi-Pen training, is trained in the HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development, and obtains specialized training in recreation, programming, safety and emergency procedures, group dynamics and positive behaviour management. Our leaders are energetic and dedicated to providing participants with a fun, safe and memorable experience.
At this time, all day camp participants will be screened upon arrival into our day camps. We will continue with a drive-thru style drop-off process. Campers are encouraged to social distance and wear a mask when unable to do so. Each camper will also be assigned to a cohort, which they will remain in for the duration of each camp session. Enhanced cleaning of high-touch surfaces will continue at all of our day camps. Proper hand hygiene will be reinforced and encouraged throughout each day.
