Day Camps

Day camp staff leading parachute activity
The City of Windsor's Department of Recreation & Culture routinely offers daily camp for P.A. days, week-long holidays, March Break and summer. Each of our camps are under the direction of day camp coordinators. These individuals have a passion for developing and implementing recreation programs for children and youth. In addition, each day camp counsellor is certified in Standard First Aid with CPR Level C and receives Epi-Pen training, is trained in the HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development, and obtains specialized training in recreation, programming, safety and emergency procedures, group dynamics and positive behaviour management. Our leaders are energetic and dedicated to providing participants with a fun, safe and memorable experience.

What to bring to camp

When attending our camp, campers are reminded to bring the following:

  • A pair of indoor running shoes
  • An extra set of dry clothes
  • A water bottle
  • A lunch and two snacks
