Minimum Qualifications (non negotiable):

​QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2 year’s experience working in heavy plate welding (minimum ½" plate thickness)

• Forklift and overhead crane experience

• Welding ticket - Level C or equivalent experience

• Experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment preferred

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• A flexible individual with the ability to prioritize a changing workload

• Understanding of quality control procedures used during welding

• Able to meet tight deadlines in a semi-repetitive, fast-paced, fun and professional environment

• Ability to work independently and as a team, self-starter and energetic

• Competent English skills.

• Good understanding of WHMIS and safe work practices

Job Summary

 

• $32 per hour

• Contract

• Mon- Friday

• Weld in all positions with Flux core

• Interpret simple blueprints and set up components for welding according to specifications

• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.

• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
