Minimum Qualifications (non negotiable):

1 year of experience Preferred
Must have transportation as there are no busses in the area for afternoon and midnight shifts

Must be able to work independently or as a team

Must be able to communicate effectively with team members, other departments, customers and drivers.

Must be available to work weekends.

Must be able to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively

Must be able to actively manage multiple, concurrent projects Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) & Ministry of Transportation (MTO) rules and regulations preferred

Positive attitude with good people skills Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word) with an ability to quickly learn new software.

Knowledge in Penske Board & TMW Knowledge in ACI/ACE Manifests, including FAST Portal & Releases

Job Description:

The qualified candidate will work as a member of our Operations Team to communicate effectively with our drivers about their lanes

The individual will also provide updates to customers regularly and as requested.

Responsibilities:

Dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver loads to and from customers

Coordinate and modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers.

Monitor any sudden route changes or delays during transit and establish new routes for avoid delays.

Assist drivers with routing directions and communicate proper execution.

Maintain high compliance to dispatch standards and operating procedures.

Communicate specific freight requirements and procedures to drivers.

Update customer web portals with up-to-date load information.

Ensure proper placement of trailer pool to support customer’s daily requirement Requirements
