Minimum Qualifications (non negotiable):

  • We are seeking to hire a part-time (10-37.5 hours per week), Behavioural Therapist for direct intervention services. Hours of employment will vary from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Applicants must be available to work pm shifts daily. Staff must provide their own transportation to the Centre, clients' homes and community settings.​

  • Diploma in Child/Care and Youth Worker (or equivalent) OR

  • Completion of two years of post-secondary academic studies in Psychology or Education OR

  • Equivalent experience in the use of behavioural techniques​

Preferred but negotiable:

  • ​​​​College/University coursework in behavioural analysis, behaviour therapy, early childhood and/or developmental disabilities

  • Experience implementing trial based behavioural intervention services for children with disabilities and especially Autism

  • Experience working with preschool children or preschoolers with special needs in applied or child care settings​​

Job Description:

  • ​Implement individualized schedule of programming sessions

  • Learn and follow detailed program goals for assigned clients

  • Collect trial-by-trial performance data

  • Maintain a professional relationship with healthy boundaries and confidentiality with clients’ and family members at all times

  • Work cooperatively as part of a larger team to provide state of the art treatment to children with autism​
