Windsor Residents Encouraged to Comment on Climate Change Adaptation Plan
It was one of the first of its kind in Canada when created in 2012, and now the City of Windsor has given its Climate Change Adaptation Plan an update. The 2019 version allows the City to identify and build on work already completed; highlight the many impacts of climate change and the impacts already seen; and provide suggestions on how we can mitigate problems moving forward.
Now that the plan has been tabled for public comment, residents have until January 20, 2020 to read and provide comments on the plan. Hard copies are available to read at Windsor Public Library locations, as well as select City of Windsor community centres (locations on website). The plan is also available online at www.windsorenvironmentalmasterplan.ca.
Three information sessions have also been scheduled to give the public an opportunity to ask questions or provide comments about the plan in person:
Tuesday, December 3, 5:30 -7pm, Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre presented by WFCU Credit Union (401 Pitt Street West)
Thursday, December 5, 9:30 – 11am, WFCU Centre (8787 McHugh St)
Saturday, December 7, 10:30am – noon, Capri Pizzeria Recreation Complex (2555 Pulford St)
All comments can be sent to email@example.com.
