By-Law Enforcement Resumes Regular Service June 1

After two months of enforcing only COVID-19 related issues, the City of Windsor’s by-law enforcement officers will resume regular service starting June 1, 2020.

Proactive and complaint based enforcement of the property maintenance and littering by-law along with illegal dumping will be two areas of focus to ensure our city is as safe and attractive as possible.

Officers will also continue to enforce COVID-19 related issues surrounding social distancing and gatherings in excess of provincial restrictions (currently five people). For the safety of our officers, we ask that residents refrain from approaching them unnecessarily.

General COVID-19 Safety Reminders:

  • Stay 2 metres away from others.
  • Don’t crowd others when standing in line.
  • Keep gatherings to 5 people or less.
  • Wash your hands frequently, and don’t touch your face.
  • Carry hand sanitizer.
