Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund Seeks Applications for 2019’s Second Funding Round and 2020 Jury
The City of Windsor’s Arts, Culture & Heritage Fund (ACHF) will once again distribute grants to individuals and cultural organizations to help stimulate creative and economic growth through its second round of funding for 2019.
Cathy Masterson, Manager of Cultural Affairs for the City says, “The ACHF program assists in supporting exciting and engaging concepts which have a strong potential to help grow and develop audiences while fostering a greater appreciation for arts, culture and heritage in Windsor.”
Since launching in 2014, the ACHF program has awarded $479,600 in grant funding to 201 projects in the City of Windsor, helping to build a stronger creative community that contributes to a prosperous, creative economy and to making Windsor an attractive and affordable place to live.
ACHF 2019 Round 2 Application Deadline
Online applications will be accepted from Monday, August 19, 2019 through to Friday, September 20, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.
A total of $43,600 will be awarded in this funding round. In order to be considered, applicants must consult with Cultural Affairs staff prior to submitting a project for funding and before the application deadline. Consultations are conducted via phone or email and help ensure applicants and projects meet program eligibility requirements.
Call for ACHF 2020 Jurors
The City of Windsor is also currently seeking applications from those interested in serving on the ACHF Jury for the upcoming 2020 funding rounds. Jurors review applications submitted to the program and make recommendations for funding. ACHF Jury members must possess a brain for business, an eye for art and a heart for a creative community. Those who believe they have the qualifications needed to help select ACHF recipients are invited to apply today. The application is available online.
The deadline to apply to serve on the ACHF 2020 Jury is Friday, October 18, 2019. This is a terrific opportunity to spend a small amount of time to make a big difference in the community.
