Special Events

The City of Windsor offers a variety of park and outdoor special event locations throughout the city.  We can assist you with large-scale festivals at the Riverfront Festival Plaza or smaller community events at your neighbourhood park.

Major Events -- Our Team Can Help

The Coordinator of Community and Special Events in Parks and Recreation and the Special Events Resource Team (SERT) provide guidance to organizers of events in municipal venues that require street closures, by-law waivers, or other special consideration.

Our expertise includes assisting in organizing international, regional and community events.

Community special events require a permit to ensure that you have priority and exclusive use of the venue and that all legal and legislated conditions are adhered to.  The sooner you contact us to obtain municipal approval, the more we can do to assist you . For more information about obtaining a special event permit, contact the Special Events Coordinator at 519-253-2300 ext. 2716 or email parkrec@citywindsor.ca

Outdoor Special Event Locations

Some of the most popular Outdoor Special Event Locations feature the picturesque riverfront parks as well as Charles Clark Square in the heart of downtown Windsor.
