Applicant Requirements
Please note: Applications will be accepted starting on February 14, 2023. For more information about the licensing process, please visit www.CityWindsor.ca/RRL.
For all new and renewal applications:
- Residential Rental Licence Application Form
- Two (2) pieces of government-issued identification (ID), including one photo ID as well as one ID demonstrating proof of status in Canada (e.g. birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian citizenship card, permanent resident card, work permit, etc.)
- Business Ownership Declaration Form, if applicable
- Corporate Profile Report, if applicable
- Partnership Agreement, if applicable
- Proof of Insurance
- Proof of property ownership
- Criminal record check
- Property Standards and Safety Checklist
- Electrical System Safety Assessment (only required new applications and every 5 years on renewal)
