Information on our accessibility pages covers a variety of municipal initiatives designed to foster an inclusive and accessible community for everyone. The City of Windsor is committed to providing quality goods and services that are accessible to all of our customers:
- City Council recently adopted our Respectful Workplace Policy, which includes our Accessibility Policy.
- The Windsor Accessibility Advisory Committee (WAAC) advises City Council in promoting a barrier-free community for persons with disabilities.

- Information on barrier-free design is available by accessing our Facility Accessibility Design Standards.
- Businesses and individuals contracted by the City of Windsor to provide goods or services to customers must ensure that their employees receive Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) s.7 training and accessible customer service training.
Do you require an accessible format or communication support?
The Corporation of the City of Windsor will, upon request, provide or arrange for the provision of accessible formats and communication supports for persons with disabilities, including available emergency procedures, plans, and/or public safety information. It will consult with the person making the request in determining the suitability of an accessible format or communication support. It will provide the agreed-upon accessible formats and communication supports:
(a) in a timely manner that takes into account the person’s accessibility needs due to disability; and
(b) at a cost that is no more than the regular cost charged to other persons.
